"Simply the best " Edited 2024-10-26
Pros: ► All the features that you need to e-communicate everyday using multiple e-mail accounts
► Everything you may reasonably want to adjust can be adjusted
► Robust desktop app
► The UI is not just friendly – it is more: professional, efficient, reliable
► Setting up accounts is a breeze and transferring the set up from the desktop to mobile device in no time via QR code... a touch of magicCons: ► It took me a long time to discover this tool exists
Overall: It is all that Outlook should be but pathetically fails to be, on many counts (all mailbox view, hassle free set up, stability). It happily performs all the chores (sorting - and a quick one! - by clicking on a field heading) that Gmail flippantly avoids, perhaps considering it boomerish. At the same time, em Client goes to great lengths to oblige Gmail users by supporting a number of Gmails features, such as tags. em Client is a true king - a powerful, yet humble servant to its users. May pride never erode its further development!

"eM Client, a simple and affective email app" Posted 2023-12-17
Pros: Simple to use and download. Easy to follow menu and to set up email accounts. I do not need a complex app, just something to download my emails, view, delete and manage pesky spams.
Cons: As I am not tech minded, have not come across any features that are of concern.
Overall: Overall experience as outlined above is that the app is functional and built for my specific use. Each user can create their own variation and extend use further if need be.

"Simply amazing!" Posted 2023-12-13
Pros: The ease of use and absolutely huge amount of features that you get with this email software is mindblowing. And the possibility to get this with a lifetime purchase is very rare and much appreciated.
Cons: Shortcuts good be more prominent and readily available but overall very easy to use and nothing to complain about. I received some server error during the first couple of days that made me hesitate on the service but after a call with great support the issue was resolved and now I am a lifetimer.
Overall: The design could maybe be improved since it feels a bit outdated but since it is easy to use and does what it claims without frictions I couldn't really be happier. I have also heard that they have AI on the roadmap which makes me even more excited for the future to come.

"Best Email Client after long search" Posted 2023-12-09
Pros: I was having problems with forwarding email receipts to my accounting software. No email client would do it all, so was having to add rules to all different clients and using them all individually. EMClient does it all. Visually never had an issue, I can always clearly view all of my emails. Great Software.
Cons: Email client on my iPhone crashes several times but it is in beta.
Overall: Easy to use client. I can gain access to all my various email accounts in one software. The use of forwarding rules is extremely important to me.

"Decent substitute for Outlook 2010" Posted 2023-12-08
Pros: I like the layout. At first my folders did not come across from my email provider and I did not know how to create new ones. But, eventually I noticed that they were there. I also like that there is a calendar.
Cons: I wish there were an icon at the top to move an email to a folder. I handle this by moving it manually. I also wish the calendar had upcoming appointments like Outlook 2010 had. All in all, I have adjusted and this works fine.
Also I did a review the first time, but couldn't submit it because it insisted I put down how many employees I have. I am retired and have no employees.Overall: Overall, this email product is working out well for me. There was just a bit of a learning curve. I will probably get more adept as time goes on.

"Outlook replacement" Posted 2023-12-08
Pros: They don't keep trying to sell me more stuff. I find a lot of the software suppliers try and up sell different products after you purchase something from them.
Cons: Nothing so far I haven't found anything that doesn't work.
Overall: Good I helped one of my fellow retirees and installed the free version she loves it. She had the same complaint I had about Microsoft and the up sale problems.

"eM Client feedback" Posted 2023-12-08
Pros: eM Client is really easy to use, plus the interface is pretty and pleasant. Configuring email accounts is very simple and I really like it. The fact that I have several email accounts and that they are all grouped in the same place is really good, in fact that's why I chose eM Client.
Cons: It would be good if you could add the possibility of personalizing the interface, so that we could change the color for example. On the other hand, I have a big problem which unfortunately limits my use of eM Client. As I make regular backups of my e-mails, with eM Client it is very cumbersome because there is a phenomenal quantity of files (45 directories and 1017 files, it is unmanageable, while I have 3 PST files for the same thing). If you could consolidate each email account into one file (like your competitor with single PST files) that would be great and think I would now just use eM Client.
Overall: Unfortunately, I will not be able to continue using eM Client precisely because of this incredible quantity of files to make backups.

"Good product for individual users, unusable in enterprise environment" Edited 2023-12-07
Pros: The product, once setup and running is smooth with clean interface and high usability. From my test users the feedback was largely positive regarding their use experience.
Cons: The product is not mature enough for enterprises. It lacks deployment options and has to be manually installed and activated on each workstation. While they provide MSI package, the package is incompatible with e.g. GPO deployment or any other deployment setup that makes use of the SYSTEM account to execute the msiexec. They are likely trying to write to one of the directories where the SYSTEM account does not have access.
Second, it is impossible to active the software in an unattended fashion. Activation requires the administrator to run the exe file of the application with a switch providing there the key. This cannot be well scripted and integrated into the deployment flow.
Third, as a default option the program saves all offline emails into the roaming portion of the user folder and you have to change it manually prior to making the software available to users. Again this requires manual interaction of the administrator with each workstation.
Next, if the database is corrupted, which happens quite often compared to outlook (during 3 months of testing, the database got corrupted 4 times and had to be completely removed and eM client setup afresh), the user has to manually delete it and set everything up again. They do not have setting separated from data so that settings of the user can be kept in the roaming folder and data in the local folder. So once the database goes, all goes.
The user has to setup his or her email, unlike in outlook which can take the data from the windows login.
The support is poor and has little to no understanding of active directory environments and so is the story with the developers. Unwilling to admit that the default placement of database in the roaming folder is not great or that simply doing some basic settings would be better if it could be implemented eg. via options to the MSI or MSI transforms. They do not offer any GPO policies or any other way to manage the product (which e.g. Thunderbird has).Overall: The product is great for end users at home but I see no reason why an end user would choose this over anything that is available for free that is typically more solid when it comes to possible data corruptions. This program would, however, be of great use to companies which need connectivity to exchange and do not want to deal with MS products. However, for those this program cannot be used due to deployment issues - no GPO deployment support of the MSI, no way to do unattended activation and setup default options, incorrect default placement of data directory, way too frequent database corruption. My rating thus reflects the usability to companies - there is none and this product either should change their philosophy or the developers should find a different job.

"Good and easy mail software with little bugs" Posted 2023-12-07
Pros: The software is very easy to use and especially makes the handling of many different mail accounts very easy.
Cons: Text search and loading of folders sometimes quite slow (>5-10s).
Handling of tables when writing an e-mail is very buggy (right-clicking into the table selects a random row, setting the cursor under the table to add further content is very unintuitive to almost impossible, etc. - I ended up writing mails which contain tables in word and then copying them into eM Client).Overall: The overall experience of the tool is great. Would always recommend it when using many different mail accounts.

"Needs a lot of work." Posted 2023-11-14
Pros: Pop-up notifications. Warning sound for incoming messages. Ease of reading new messages. I need another 12 letters to get my minimum count.
Cons: Too small font size of headings. Impossibility to increase font size. Can't access all my email servers.
Overall: I use this product to get email alerts and to read the message. The font size of headings and columns is too small for my old eyes and there should be a change mechanism. I use another client to write messages because of the first problem. Other email clients have similar problems, so it's not just this one. Only webmail gives me variable heading font sizes and it's not a complete solution, having unsatisfactory alerts. Still waiting for my prefect email client since giving up on Pegasus mail recently.

"Really Good - Excellent" Posted 2023-11-14
Pros: Handles large volumes of emails.
Syncs with Google properly (not like Outlook).
Nice interface with good customisation.Cons: When create a new folder, the software automatically selects it - pretty pointless as I've only just created it so it's empty!! Be good if you could stop this.
Slightly over-priced.
Would like the ability to have a single inbox for "Favourite" accounts.
Better MS Exchange functionality (especially for older exchange servers).Overall: Really good, fast, smooth, syncs well with every mail account that I've tried. Really pleased with it.

"Happy customer" Posted 2023-10-25
Pros: It works as I'd expect am email client to work. Having used Outlook previous, this replicates everything I've been used to.
Cons: The free version only allows 2 email addresses, which is not bad. The life time fee offsets that, and I can't expect something for free, if it's going to work properly.
Overall: Happy customer overall. It works as I'd expect it to.

"eM Client - EMail Software" Posted 2023-08-05
Pros: This version of the program is free. It allows me to manage the two email accounts I use at home from a single software client.
Cons: It may just be me, but I haven't seen that I can setup eMail rules on how to handle mail.
Overall: Overall, I have been very satisfied with this software. There is a search function that allows me to find old eMail that I need. The price was right with this product and I use it instead of Microsoft mail.

Cons: I have to pay for it but I would be much happier with the product if it was free.
Overall: This product has proven easy to set up and maintain which means I can use it daily without too much of an effort.

"Best email solution for tech-adverse staff" Posted 2023-07-20
Pros: - Very clean feeling and looking
- Easy to understand what you're looking at from the beginning
- Automatically finds email server settings with just your login details
- Quick to search through emails
- Multiple, easy to view, email accounts can be added
- Multiple Templates (with attachments) and Signatures
- Easy for less tech-savvy staff to set up
- FREECons: - Useful functionality is in a not-so-easy-to-use menu, so staff can't get the most out of it without assistance (ie. templates, signatures, appearance...)
- Limited to 2 email accounts in free version, but understandable
- Search functionality finds matches in reply emails but doesn't expand quoted text, so it's not so obvious where the match is.
- No in-client file viewer for pdfs and images, needs to open files in external appOverall: eM Client is my favorite email solution for our small company (<20 employees). The free version has more than enough of what we need. We came from a webmail environment so having an email client that's always logged in, gives desktop notifications, allows you still work with older emails offline, shows the correct time stamps, and has a lot less latency, means that no one is angry at me anymore. This has allowed us to keep our low cost email provider instead of migrating to these $6+/usr/month solutions just for a nicer email browser.

The one downside for me is that you can't view at least pdf or image attachments directly in the app, you need to open it on some other app. But so far I've received 0 complaints from any of our staff. 9/10! -

Pros: It is very easy to install the EM client compare to other software & the tools given in this software is near to fantastic.
Cons: The replies overlap on emails while it should be like paper trails so that we can check the proper sequence of the history.
Overall: I am happy to get this software on my system to manage my daily emails. even I recommend it to my organisation's leadership to get this software for the group companies.
